Bryce Kelley - President

Bryce is currently the President of the Sand Box Board of Directors. He is a Financial Advisor with Thrivent in Medford and Colby. Bryce also taught in the Medford School District for 14 years as a middle and high School Teacher. A life long member of the Medford community, Bryce's passions include civic duty, volunteerism, and philanthropy. Bryce is married to Rhonda and has two children, Grace and Brigham.

Jina Lange - Vice President

My name is Jina Lange. I have been married to my husband, Bob for 28 years. We have 4 grown children and 10 grandkids. I was a teacher in the Medford School District for 33 years, first teaching at the elementary school and then moving to the high school to finish my career as an intervention specialist. I became a member of the Sandbox Board because I believe that early education in a caring and loving environment is essential to the development of each and every child. At the time that I joined the Board, the Sandbox Daycare was in dire need of leadership and quality staff. This Board had worked very hard in the recovery process in order to bring Medford and surrounding areas a quality childcare facility. Sandbox Childcare has a wonderful staff now and many great things are happening there now and in the future.

Joan Dettmering - Treasurer

My name is Joan Dettmering, and I have been on the board since February 2025. I have a Bachelor's degree in Business and MIS from UWEC. I also have a MBA from Pepperdine University. I have over 40 years of experience in finance, accounting, auditing, and customer service. I have worked for a range of companies from Fortune 500 to small businesses across the US as well as operated my own records storage business in PNW. I am a proud mother of two and I love to travel and spend time with my family.

Megan Strebig - Secretary

Hello! My name is Megan Strebig. I work for Phillips-Medisize in our Quoting department, and have been there since 2010. I have two, very busy boys who attend Sandbox when school is not in session. One of our favorite things to do as a family is visit the Zoo. When I get a chance, I enjoy sitting down with a good book.

Sandbox recently underwent an amazing transformation, and I'm excited to now be a board member to continue to foster that growth. The center is a great asset to our community, providing quality and reliable child care. Come check out Sandbox to see all the wonderful things we have to offer!

Meghan Weiland

My name is Meghan and I am pleased to serve as a Board Member at Sandbox. Childcare is essential to our community and something I am very passionate about, as a mother of 4. All of my children have or are currently attending Sandbox, and I am dedicated to helping Sandbox grow. Summer is my family’s favorite time of year, as our favorite hobbies include golfing, boating, water skiing, swimming and generally anything that involves being outside. Sandbox has made such substantial improvement over the past few years, all thanks to the current Board Members and devoted staff. I look forward to seeing Sandbox continue to thrive and am honored to be a part of it.

Michelle Nicholson

My name is Michelle, and my husband, Dan, and I moved to central Wisconsin in 2021 to found Owen Family Dental, where he is the general dentist, and I oversee business operations. I also work as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, solving complex challenges for leading healthcare systems and insurers nationwide.

Reliable, high-quality child care is essential to our ability to serve the community. Sandbox gives us peace of mind knowing our children, Kenny and Sean, are in a nurturing environment where they can learn and thrive.

Kenny loves Sandbox so much that he insists on hugging all his friends before leaving each day. I joined the Sandbox Board to help ensure all families continue to have access to the same high-quality early education that has benefited our sons.

Julie Van Ansem

My name is Julie Van Ansem. I have been married to my husband, Bas for years. We were both born in the Netherlands and we have lived in Medford for almost 10 years.
My 2 children both attend Sandbox.
I became a member of the Sandbox Board in September 2023.
I’m honored to serve as a Board Member and enjoy helping the community of Medford.

Chelsea Johnson

My name is Chelsea Johnson, and I have been on the Sandbox Child Care board since February 2025. I am an experienced insurance broker who helps businesses ease the challenges of employee benefits by providing tailored solutions that align with their goals. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I'm also an avid hunter and horseback rider. I love camping, exploring trails, and embracing the adventure of the outdoors.
